Aloha and Welcome!
I'm a M.S graduate student at University of Hawaii, Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management.
Raised on Kauai, I worked over 20 years in the inland Pacific Northwest in natural resources management, including 12 years as a wildlife biologist with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. I am currently working on livestock grazing as a fuel management strategy for wildfire risk reduction at Pu'u Wa'awa'a, Hawaii Island. Research interests include sustainable agro-ecosystems, traditional ecological knowledge, ecological restoration, invasive species ecology, ethno-ornithology. |
